Going above and beyond for sustainability
At BulkBox we are committed to being Ecological in everything we do and that is manifested in our dedication to the production of our range of products.
We take the time to ensure each product is made in a way that optimises its complete footprint, from the materials used, how they are sourced, assembly of the components into the outer... all using
carbon neutral machinery and renewable inks.
We implement a 5 point checklist to make sure we are environmentally responsible...
1. product lifespan
The strength and durability provided by the combination of materials and structural engineering ensure that a BulkBox lasts longer than alternatives.
2. materials we use
Each BulkBox is made using sustainably sourced materials combined with recycled content. All of which are 100% recyclable. Free from any bleach and gluing.
3. production process
We maximise our production process, making the included dividers from what would normally be considered waste.
4. manufactured locally
We work with production partners in the US so that we reduce the distances that our materials have to travel for production and distribution... We are currently looking for a European partner.
5. responsible shipping
Each BulkBox has a 'Bundle' that best represents a usage occasion so we can reduce excess packaging material and minimise the overall carbon footprint required for delivery.
Our board is FSC certified!
The corrugated material we use for our BulkBoxes are made from a mix of new and recycled materials from sustainable sources - the best of both worlds.
Like all natural kraft board surfaces we cannot be guaranteed to be 100% 'Acid free', but we believe that is worthwhile price to pay for not using bleach and damaging the ecosystem.
